AND A BUNK BED!! and our car is a 2014 Toyota Corolla! it's soo nice...when we call people the bluetooth turns on & it rocks my whole world. that night we had dinner with a family that owns 3 dickey's bbq restaurants they are so awesome. thennnn we unpackeddd & got all settled in! then we met with the YSA ward mission leader, Chase. He's def a professional human being he works in the home office building for walmart...we had to get special badges so he could give us a tour...it was pretty awesome. then we went to our sugar creek ward mission leaders house & helped his daughters with their science project blowing bubbles with bubble gum..it was awesome! so yeah....rockin first day(:

friday: we had breakfast with one of the YSA kids, micah, at the hotel he lives in...NBD...not like he has an internship with walmart that pays for like everything. hahaha he's awesome, we gave him a bunch of pamphlets he needed for his friends. then we did service @ this place called helping hands. it was overcast so i wore my fav beanie. weee also did some otm'ing in the WALMART MUSEUM because we had a weird lil amount of time. then we weekly planned & ate at chickfila<3. we had an awesome first lesson with one of our recent converts, Brenda & her friend Kate whom I LOVE!!! it was wonderful! then had dinner with some YSA people. first, my best friend HAYDEN!! && also MY CHILDHOOD HERO JOHNNY DAMON!!! hahahaha that's literally his name...we bonded real good. we had pizza & mango cheesecake it rocked my world. yeah...best place ever!! so many instant best friends(: (but don't worry kylie, I STILL LOVE YOU)

I tell everyone that Elder Kofford is my brother & they totally believe me cuz like #blondes. I also tell everyone I'm from Portland, Oregon hahaha cuz everyone assumes missionaries are from Utah...it's entertaining.

sunday: we spent alllllll day @ the church!! from 11-7:30....it was crazy. we had meetings, got amazing blessings from the YSA branch president, did family history, then attended the Sugar Creek Ward where I met Sister MING, who is very good friends with the Townsends!! Also shoutout to my brother and sister in law for getting pregnant!!! i was about to tell ya'll that i'm almost at 9 months so someone needs to have a baby for when I get home!! CONGRATSSSSS I LOVE YOU FAMILY!! And s/o to my BEST FRIEND BROOKLYN because I love her sooooo much!!

GUYSSSSSSSSSS I'm dying....this week started as the week from H E double hockey sticks & turned u n r e a l (: i can't even handle it....wow here we go. hold on tight!

actually first.

I AM GETTING TRANSFERRED TO THEEEE BEST AREA EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. And since it's march madness our zone did a bracket for transfers...and they totally guessed mine right!! I am going to BENTONVILLE!!!! Serving in Rogers YSA and the Sugar Creek ward(: (: every missionary I tell says it's thee best place to be! I cannot be more excited. I hardly slept Saturday night because I was so excited. My companion will be Sister Smith, the 2nd, she has been out almost a year and I've met her a couple times...she's awesome!! Soooo stoked!!
OKAY MOVING ON. KEEP UP OKAY?

something life changing: soooo there has been soooo many people in tahlequah and on my mission in general that have COMPLETELY CHANGED MY LIFE. This week I met several people. After yesterday's experience I literally said "I think my whole life just changed" sooo the whole day was unbelievable....we had an awesome last ward council for me and everyone thought it would be funny to make me do evertyhing haha. so i lead the music, prayed, and discussed a lot of things...man i'm going to miss those meetings...anyways...then we had missionary coordination meeting and we told everyone we were expecting a bunch of investigators at church since we both were speaking..one was Charles D'reego that Indian man...not native american..like from India, Indian!! well  turns out Brother Phillips (my first adopted dad) knows him!! The other we were super pumped about was our good friend Jeananne!!! THEY BOTH CAMEEEEEEEEEEE(: (: I almost started bawling on the stand because everything was so perfect. sister palmer gave a bomb talk about faith then bishop introduced me as sister palmer and everyone laughed really hard. i walked up there and said "hi, i'm sister BAILEY it's nice to meet ya'll!" haha it was pretty funny. i talked about tender mercies & grace. it was awesome, if i say so myself (; buuuuut it seriously felt like i was giving my farewell talk alll over again because tahlequah is my FAMILY!! i'm going to miss it soooo much, but i have another adventure waiting for me in arkansas(: sooooo pumped. so after church we went with the Phillips & Runnels to have lunch with Charles & some other Indian students on an exchange program here....holy cow...they are seriously the most amazing people i have EVER met!! they made us thee most amazing indian food ever...i was so good...so spicy...but so authentic and they served us like queens the whole time even though we were in their apartment...we were celebrating the Indian new year! Doesn't it make sooooo much more sense to have it in march...cuz like...spring...? haha i think so! well basically we all became best friends & they are coming to moab with me next summer & they're going to show me around bangladore...they have MAD connections (: they are all working on their PH.D's right now and are superrrr smart and successful! THEN!! Charles is the most remarkable man I have ever met...he was a referral we contacted the other day...turns out he has been in America for the last 10 years at school. Before he lived in India with his family & did humanitarian work with...oh ya know...JUST MOTHER THERESA!!! the real one..he has pictures and books and crazy amazing stories....it was such an honor to meet him AND HE CAME TO CHURCH AND HEARD ME TALK ABOUT THE GOSPEL. We had awesome conversations about family and the gospel and everything...WHAT EVEN IS MY LIFE?! (:

something legit: on saturday we were determined to do something amazing so we decided to teach 10 lessons that day. our district leader, elder merryweather, didn't believe we could do it...so we had to prove him wrong. sister lafon came along with us from 1230-6pm. we visited inactive young women, other less actives NO ONE EVER GETS TO SEE, and some recent converts including Mickey!!! andddd welll  WE TOTALLY TAUGHT 10 LESSONS!!! IT WAS SO AWESOME(: (: I showed everyone the "My Family Book" there's a video that Brother Phillips linked to my facebook! I had no idea he was filming...but it's a sweet lil video(: plus we crocheted with Jeananne that night so we were super busy all day while waiting for transfer calls!! then we did all conference call for transfers & since we bugged the Zone Leaders all day they told us transfer news first...hahaha it was too legit(;

something awesome: thursday we had a killer lesson with LEO!!!! we talked about faith and what it means and how it's an action word and he literally said "well...i'm not getting baptized YET" haha i'm so excited! I love the Pepiakitahs!! They are expecting baby Pepiakitah next month(: I'll miss them soooo much.

something true: being KIND always trumps being RIGHT. "kill people with kindness" don't be judgmental because you probably don't know the whole situation...just remember that God loves you and has a plan for you. Everything will be alright in the end...if it's not alright, it isn't the end. I LOVE YOU PEOPLE. The church is so true and it always will be. Remember the little things...church, scriptures, prayer, FAMILY. They are most important. The Lord and Family should always come first. Never forget<3

I LOVE YA'LL!!! HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND I'LL SEE YA IN ARKANSAS (;

SISTER BAILEY

CLEAR EYES FULL HEART CAN'T LOSE!!!

howdy ya'll!! well....you can prolly guess what imma say next...WE HAD AN AMAZING WEEK<3 <3 I'm so freaking spoiled, it's nuts.

we were soooo crazy busy this week like i'm so dead tired. i got sick this week because i was so tired honestly...but i threw up a few times and slept for likeeee 4 hours on friday and now i'm good as new! hahha my life....

something HILARIOUS: hahahaha i can't even...omgosh...okay so...bonnie and grady drove to utah for spring break so Rico and I decided to put some stuff together for our families. We bought flash drives and made a bunch of videos just talking and telling funny stories and giving tours of TQUAH and our apartment....well as we are standing out in the rain showing our apartment...we left our front door open and a HUGEEEEE squirrel ran into the apartment hahaha so Rico starts screaming and crying and hypervenilating and I almost fall over because I'm laughing so hard...hahaha so I get this all on camera right? it's thee funniest thing you'll ever see. DEAR FAMILY PUT THAT VIDEO ON FACEBOOK. you're welcome (; man...it jumped across our desks, beds, the couch, and the table. it was quite the experience (;

something supa sick: sooo wednesday i had physical therapy for my back and it was soooo sick. so i get there at likeee 9 am and i'm wearing leggings and my oklahoma state shirt and my mission badge right? so there's like a bunch of people and we start talking about the weather, then i say something about mountains and how i miss them and how i'm from utah. and da da dahhhhh and i basically taught like all of them the restoration and about the church!! it was so awesome...but like i know for a fact i'm in physical therapy for a reason right now..the physical therapist, Sarah, is suchhhhh a dry mormon. i'll letcha know what happens! but yeah, that was sick (:

something random?: on saturday we forced Sister Lafon to take us to this Family History Conference in Tulsa likeeee all day. hahaha it was such an adventure and ended up being really fun and I learned a wholeeee bunch. we were absolutely, without a doubt the youngest people there hahaha but there was beginner and intermediate classes, we went to the intermediate ones and learned sooooo much. we even convinced the elders in tulsa to go to lunch with us, we went to my fav...chickfila..of course(; and Sister Lafon tagged along, it was a good  time. The spanish elders came and quizzed me on spanish...I STILL GOT IT (; but they kept saying they're going to tell Presient to put me in a spanish area...ahhhh...pray for me! hahaha but i mean, i did take 5 YEARS of spanish! so i guess we'll see! it would be another great adventure! because like...adventures are the best way to learn(:

something fun!: so tuesday was our huge zone conf in Tulsa. It was like thee funnest day of my life. I love love love zone conf, you get to see all your friends, play games, and get spiritually pumped. it was awesome. first of all i got to see my girl Sister Petersen<3 which is always the best. One of my favorite parts in when all the missionaries going home in the next two transfers give their departing testimony! It's always soooo good and this time it was seriously like allllllll the legends, which was cool to be there but also so sad because I love all those missionaries! I got pictures with my favorites...Elder Ingledue because he also served in Marshfield andddd he's a legend, then Elder Rudd because he was the assistant when I came out and he's hilarious and sang a real pretty song and also Sisters Smith, Clayson, and Pereida! I'll send pictures with of of them! Oh also my boy Elder Riley Sorensen was picked to give one of the talks and killed. He went to LONE PEAK too and we figured out that 4 of us at the conference went to LP, we tried to get a picture but everyone got lost except me and Elder Sorensen haha. Oh, at lunch, Sister Palmer and I were determined to win the scripture bee, but may have only memorized 7.5/10 of them...and we got pretty destroyed, so we sat down and everyone laughed. Today in my email from President he got all mad at me for sitting down because apparently he had it rigged for us to win! dang it! we'll get it next time (; but I mean... the reigning champion was elder rudd and he did one of the scriptures backwards..so it was just (; hahaha oh yeah, also, Sister Shumway picked me and 3 hours to help with her infamous "health moment" basically we ended up throwing bouncy balls at a wall, then a water balloon. I was soooo tempted to throw the balloon into the crowd of missionaries but I restrained myself..haha I think her point was to be postive...and to bounce back and not splatter all of everyone and everything with negativity? either way, it was fun!

something SPECIAL: so thursday was my mother's birthday. it was way harder that i thought it was going to be. why are certain days SO MUCH harder? anyways...i decided the only way I was going to get through the day was to work my hardest and my mamma proud(: i wore a skirt she bought me even before I submitted my papers and a bow in my hair because it was her favorite. i have pictures that i'll attach (: there were soooo many tender mercies like...wow. one of my favorites was that I GOT THREE LETTERS ALL FROM FRIENDS ON MISSIONS SERVING IN ASIA!!!! It was so special and I really needed it that day. Sooo shoutout to Elder Kujanpaa, Elder Adachi, and Sista Holt!!! In Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea!! I LOVE YOU GUYSSSS<3 (Dan: JAN+DAN=FOREVERRRRR Kengo: "nellie hates matt, ain't that true" & pennyboard swagggg & DAVIS SHORE(: Madison: CHUCK BASS OR DIE, red velvet cupcakes, PUPPIES hahaha man i miss you guys) sorry for my rant...i was just really pumped (: sooo it was really cool. Sister Petersen got permission to text me then both President and Sister Shumway called me during the day to check up on me...I'm so loved and well taken care of. I love that ya'll went to Article Circle and to the cemetery...guess what?! I'LL BE HOME FOR MOM'S NEXT BIRTHDAY!!! Can I get a woo woo? haha we went to dinner with a less active lady, and every time i go to her house we always start talking about my mom. and crazy enough, last time i went on february 19th, which was the 10 month mark...so crazy! anyways as we got to talking we realized that it was her daughter's birthday that passed away about 10 years ago. and my jaw dropped. then i realized in the background the mormon tabernacle choir was playing and it was the song "I often go walking" which is all about mothers. i just sat there and cried. it was amazing. the spirit was so strong. i know she was there comforting me. that night we had an amazing lesson with our investigator Leo and he is so close to baptism. all in all, it was a very good day. i'm so grateful for my mom and her example. man...i'm just so grateful to be here. in oklahoma. on my mission. i miss you family, but i know this is exactly where i'm supposed to be (: (:

wellllll i have more fun stories for ya'll but not enough time. we are going to lunch with the hutchins then to a zone outting in muskogee with a bunch of people! should be fun...plus jeans!! can't wait!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!

Sister Bay (:

DEAR WORLD!

Welllllll another amazing week, of course!! (:

Something tender:We had a really neat experience at  that funeral last Monday. The family invited us to attend the family luncheon and talk to some of the people there. I think we got like 5 people's addresses and phone numbers and the wife, especially, is super interested in learning more about the gospel! We're excited for all of them! I'll letcha know what happens with them(:

Something FUNNY: hahahha i'm laughing out loud just thinking about this...so I got from exchanges Friday morning, we went to District Meeting in Muskogee then out to lunch with Sister Lafon. It was a blast of course. As we are driving back we get a text from the Walema family asking if we will come help them with some yard work, so obviously, we go. I put on my comf sweats and converse and sunglasses and we went over there. So if you remember, last time I went on exchanges Sister Clayson came with me to t-quah and we cleaned out their garage at the new house? Will this time we were doing stuff outside...and let me tell ya...the previous owners WERE SO NASTY!! Anywayssss we raked up leaves, flattened boxes, and got rid of a ton of well...how do I say this nicely...crap? haha and were going 110 mph for like 2 hours straight and ended up with a huge pile of stuff and 8 huge construction garbage bags of gross, wet, dirty leaves....well we took some pictures and were about to leave...then Sister Palmers like "hey do you have the phone" I'm like..."no....you had it. i haven't even seen it since we got back into town" she tries not to panic and we look around for like 10 minutes....it's no where to be seen...so we call it from Dorthy's phone...but it was on vibrate so we're like hugging the bags trying to feel it. But likeeeee it was with nasty gross WET leaves so I'm thinking...it's mostly definitely in one of these EIGHT BAGS and it's probably ruined....and our dinner is coming to pick us up in like 30 minutes...and our phone has literally 600 contacts in there. so i'm trying not to panic...then realize I DON'T KNOW ANYONE'S PHONE NUMBER!! sooo i'm like crapppppppp. so then i remembered i do know one set of missionaries phone number, so i call them. they laugh at me...i'm laughing this whole time but i think mostly so i didn't burst into tears hahaha. so they give me the mission home number and President Shumway's number....mission home doesn't answer...President answers. I tell him whats going on and he laughs. He laughs a lot. And teases me....haha then he says "Sister Bailey....you're going to have to look through all those bags and if you can't find it we'll get you a new phone" then he laughed and wished me luck. SOOO we say a prayer pleading for help to find the phone...and we open up the first bag and dig through the leaves...it's not there. Open of the second bag...annddddddd SIS PALMER FOUND IT!! IT WASN'T EVEN BROKEN JUST REALLY DIRTY! and it smells kinda funny, but whatevs. hahhaaha it was so funny. i'm still laughing about it...and i'm sure President is too...#tendermerciesfordayzzz

something random: welll wednesday was terrible terrible weather so we went over to my parents house aka "the phillips" hahaha and chilled there likeee all day. it was a blast. we watched all our favorite talks and even a david archuleta interview thingy #fangirling and Rico and Kylie did some personal progress and i called a bunch of people on the phone and had mini lessons with them...so that was fun. Then we drove home....in the middle of the ice storm...it was SKETCHY! haha but then Bonnie brought us dinner and we made all kinds of adventuring plans for next year(; it was blast. every day is a blast in tquah(:

something powerful?: sooo thursday I ventured over to Gore to go on exchanges with my girl Sister Clayson(: we had a blast...of course. We taught this adorable 94 year old. Had lunch with their cutest recent convert, Kerry. Played in some mud. Went chastity tracting...hahaha funniest thing of my life. OTM'd a bunch of people at a gas station and got a potential investigator! We at dinner at their cute lil house, it reminds me sooooo much of grandpa bailey's house...the carpet...the wall panels...it even smells the came and there is carpet in the bathroom hahaha it rocks. we bonded for awhile and asked each other all kinds of questions about missionary stuff...it was real good(: and we planned adventures in southern utah for next year as well (; i have issues, okay? then we had thee best lesson of my mission...omg...it was insane. i'm trying to get this kid at the library to upload the video to facebook for me...lol it's hilarious. we were soooo pumped. i hope it works....so basically we put this awesome guy on date for the 21st and taught him the law of chastity and it wasn't even awkward. it was awesome...so yeah. go us!! (: jk, it was totally 100% the spirit...man. i love being a missionary (:

something exhausting: saturday the church put on this cultural cherokee event and made stomp skirts and shackles and soooooooo many people came. basically we got to the church at 9 and were running around, answering questions, putting up tables, filling up water pitchers, half teaching the restoration, trying to sew a skirt #fail, and convincing people we aren't sister wives hahaha THAT HAPPENED, it was crazy. we finally left the church at likeeeee 4 pm. it was so long. but so so so fun(:

something spiritual: I was so so sad to hear about another suicide at Lone Peak....and I've been thinking about that a lot this week and I was trying to figure out why it keeps happening...Then I remembered a talk that's exclusive to the MTC called "The Character of Christ" by Elder Bednar. It's amazing. Not sure why it's only shown at the MTC....but maybe that'll give you motivation to go on a mission? hahaha but it seriously is such a simple talk. He explains that whenever Christ made a decision, he always turned outward. He never focused on himself, or how many likes he got on instagram, or if so & so didn't like Him, or if He didn't make the cheer squad, or if He didn't get accepted to BYU. He focused all His time and energy on OTHERS. HE ALWAYS TURNS OUTWARD. ALWAYS. And maybe I'm wrong, but I think Lone Peak and all of Utah county could use some more character of Christ. It's sooo clique but one of my mission motto's is "forget yourself and go to work". So I don't know what ya'll are waiting for...but go serve someone else. And it's not necessarily that THEY need it, YOU DO! Stop caring sooo much about what people think of you and go help someone have a good day. Making others happy, makes you happy (: *stepping off my soapbox now*

I seriously loved where I grew up, I have thee greatest friends and family, but I wish I understood the gospel more when I was in high school. My mission has changed my life. More importantly, it's changed my heart. And it's still changing. I'll hit my 7th month mark this week...so i've still got a long way to go. Buuuuut "I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up" (if you can name that book/movie I'll MARRY YOU!!!)

Anywaysssss that was my crazy, fun, busy week!! I loved it but I am so exhausted! haha here's to another week! Today I bought a new beanie & it's raining & we got hot chocolate...that's a solid day in my book (:

Have a wonderful week and REMEMBER THE TENDER MERCIES OF THE LORD 1 NEPHI 1:20 (: (:

All my love,

Sister Bailey (:

Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have DOUGHNUTS

howdy ya'll!!!

we had another wonderful week, of course!! what's a bad week in T-QUAH?! i don't think they exist (;

sooo quick update on the week...

MONDAY: a bunch of us went bowling...again..it was a blast. i lost, but hey, we had such a good time. PLUS two of my fav elders, whom I was in the MTC with are now companions and came with us! It's always fun catchin up(:

TUESDAY: Sister Shumway called us that morning and asked if she could come out with us...of course I said "YES YES YES" we took her to see Gina and crazy enough, they knew each other!! It was an awesome lesson...at one point I pointed at Gina and said "YOU ARE AMAZING! THE ONLY THING HOLDING YOU BACK IS YOU" that was definitely the spirit...but Sister Shumway told me after in a lil interview that when I came out on my mission I was a girl, but now I was a woman...holy cow...SUCH A COMPLIMENT...my heart is so FULL<3 oh...and Mickey gave me a Hannah Montana barbie soo yeah best day everrrrrr

WEDNESDAY: We had district meeting and I introduced this awesome weekly planning sheet, my boy Elder Evensen sent me from the Billing Montana Mission! Everyone was super pumped about that...so that was cool!! AND THEN LATER WE DISCOVERED CHIK-FIL-A in the underground of NSU...geez. i was so happy. we took a pic,  no worries. #reasonnumber234whyimgettingFAT LOL

THURSDAY: sooo we forgot something from our district leader the day before so we drove to Muskogee to meet up with him and the Zone leaders, Sister Palmer weekly planning while I drove, we had lunch with all of them, and shared funny stories. It was blast (: Then that night one of my favorite members took us out to SUSHI!! best day everrrr 2.0 mm, so good(: we are so freaking spoiled here...I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE!

FRIDAY: we volunteered at this thriftshop called ENCORE, and they just absolutley adore us there...plus i got three new skirts for $4 sooo i mean...it was good all around (: The other highlight was going on exchanges with another one of my favorite members, Bonnie. She's soo fun..we went and talked with one of our potential investigators and invited them to this Family History conference we have coming up...it was wonderful(:

SATURDAY: well...there was a huge ice storm and we were stuck in the apartment literally all day...but we were productive. we cleaned. had some phone lessons. slept. i wrote like 10 letters sooo HOLLA! i caught up on my journal and read to RICO (hahaha i call Sister Palmer Rico because...Palmer..palm trees...puerto rico has palm trees...haha kylie came up with it:)

SUNDAY: church was canceled because of the weather and we literally didn't know what to do...soo we slept haha and studied a lot. i may or may not have walked on the treadmill and did some yoga? is that appropiate? haha then we went to the Phillips and ate lunch with Kylie and them. Then we watched a new devotional by Jeffery R. Holland...my fav(: It was way fun. Then that evening we had dinner with theee cutest family, the Ahlanders! We eat with them every fast sunday and they make us breakfast for dinner. I realized while we were eating that they have kids the EXACT same ages as Melissa's kids...and as we hung out they are all crazy similar to my nieces and nephews....it was insane! but so much fun(: I MISS YOU CHILDREN!! shoutout to you K-DAWG!!
